Purpose
To ensure a safe and healthy environment for all patrons, staff, and visitors at the Wellness Center, this policy outlines guidelines for attending the facility as well as concierge services when experiencing illness or related symptoms.
Policy Guidelines
Stay Home if You Are Sick
- Patrons are required to refrain from visiting the Wellness Center if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
- Fever (temperature of 100.4°F/38°C or higher)
- Cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath
- Runny nose, congestion, or sneezing (not related to allergies)
- Body aches, chills, or fatigue
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Loss of taste or smell
- Any other symptoms associated with contagious illnesses (e.g., flu, cold, COVID-19, etc.)
- Patrons should not return to the Wellness Center until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications, or as advised by a healthcare provider.
Contagious Illnesses
- Patrons diagnosed with a contagious illness (e.g., influenza, COVID-19, strep throat, conjunctivitis, etc.) must not visit the Wellness Center until they are no longer contagious, as determined by a healthcare provider or in accordance with public health guidelines (e.g., CDC or local health department recommendations).
- For specific illnesses like COVID-19, patrons must follow current public health guidelines, which may include isolation periods or negative test requirements before returning.
Reporting Illness
- If a patron visits the Wellness Center and later discovers they were ill or contagious at the time of their visit, they are encouraged to notify the Wellness Center staff immediately. This allows the facility to take appropriate measures, such as enhanced cleaning or notifying other patrons if necessary.
- Notifications can be made via email at info@retreatwellnessconcierge.com or by calling 706-834-3988.
Hygiene and Preventive Measures
- Patrons are encouraged to practice good hygiene to prevent the spread of illness:
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
- Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Masks are optional but may be required during periods of heightened community transmission of contagious illnesses, as determined by the Wellness Center management or public health authorities.
Facility & Concierge Protocols
- The Wellness Center will maintain regular cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces, equipment, and shared spaces.
- Staff members are trained to monitor and enforce this sick policy and may ask patrons exhibiting visible symptoms to leave the facility.
- The Wellness Center reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron who appears unwell or is not adhering to this policy.
Exceptions
- Patrons with chronic conditions (e.g., allergies, asthma) that may mimic illness symptoms should inform the Wellness Center staff in advance to avoid confusion. Documentation from a healthcare provider may be requested. If you are unsure, please contact us directly.
